The waters off and around Virginia Beach are said to be the best fishing grounds in the mid-Atlantic. Due to its unique location where the Gulf Stream and the Labrador Current mix, Virginia Beach offers both warm-water and cold-water species.
Popular species landed while fishing offshore from Virginia Beach include wahoo, dolphin fish, mako sharks, swordfish, sailfish, cobia, king mackerel, blue marlin, and white marlin.
Tuna is another popular fish off the coast of Virginia Beach, which we have several different species. Some of those are bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, longfin albacore tuna, bigeye tuna, and skipjack tuna. Bluefin tuna are often abundant in this area, and individuals that weigh in excess of 300 pounds are not unheard of.
Deep sea fishing charters out of Virginia Beach focus on canyons, like the Norfolk Canyon, and other bottom structures such as shipwrecks and sunken debris. Baits are dropped into the deep trenches and around wrecks and will produce blueline tilefish, golden tilefish, tautog, codfish, black sea bass, and the occasional snowy grouper. Rosefish are common in the deep water, too. These deep water species are some of the most delicious fish and the tile fish are commonly referred to as "The Poor Man's Lobster."

Best hosts and very accommodating!! Awesome sunset cruise! Will definitely book again! The weather was bad on our initial date that was booked and they moved the date so we could enjoy better weather. Will recommend to anyone in the area or on vacation in Virginia Beach
Seriously the best fishing charter experience I’ve ever had. Captain Tom and his first mates were so kind fun and helpful. Surrounded by great company and slammed Spanish macks like none other! Can’t wait to go again. Thank you so much for the amazing experience guys!
Let me tell you something. These boys know what they’re doing. Capt Tom and mate Ryan we’re on point all day. He was watching the weather and knew exactly when to go out. Got on some nice size blues with some cool top water action.
We provide all the necessary tackle, fishing rods, bait, ice and cooler for your catch. Most importantly we provide some of the best fishing mates in Virginia Beach. These mates work hard and work for tips so be sure to take care of them, 20% is customary.
You should bring clothing appropiate for the season. In the summer shorts and t-shirts is fine but in the winter you will want a hat, coat and maybe even some gloves. We always highly recommend that you bring rain gear as you never know when a storm can pop-up. While we do have a cabin to stay dry in, you can't fish from in there. You will also want to bring plenty of water, snacks and/or food. A soft sided cooler is preferred for this so we can store it properly. Also don't forget sunscreen but please no spary sunscreen as it turns the boat pink!
Yes, you get to keep your catch as long as it falls within the regulations for the particular species we are fishing for. We do our best to protect the oceans and practice ethical and sustainable harvesting so keep what you need and throw back what you don't.
No, we provide all the necessary licenses and permits.
