Welcome to Kraken Charters, a veteran owned and operated Fishing Charter boat serving the Virginia Beach and Norfolk area of Virginia. The waters of the Chesapeake Bay and off the coast of Virginia Beach offer a unique opportunity for a wide variety of activities. We are a not just a fishing charter though! We also offer charters for Scuba Diving (new for 2025), Spearfishing trips, Sunset cruises, Wildlife Tours and Party Cruises. Capt. Tom is a USCG licensed captain, First Aid/CPR & O2 provider and Scuba Diving instructor. Our vessel is fully insured and has passed a USCG UPV exam. Capt Tom will do his best to ensure you have a fun and most importantly, a safe adventure on the water or under it.... The best thing about our boat service is we don't do cookie-cutter trips. Every trip is personalized to who & what is important to you, where the voyage & activities are decided by you & with the hundreds of things to do in the Hampton Roads area the sky is the limit. The Kraken

She is a 1999 32' Pursuit who has been given much love these past few years. She is a powerhouse with 2 Cummins 4BTA 250hp engines and cruises at around 23 knots. There is plenty of space in the cockpit for fishing and catching some sun. Down below there is a full head, small galley and v-berth to catch a few zzz's if needed. We also have a grill to cook up some fresh catch or hot dogs for lunch. So whether we are fishing, looking for wild life or rafted up at the narrows you will have a blast!

With over 25+ years on the water I've learned that everyday is an opportunity to learn and you have to work hard to catch quality fish. I want everyone to have a great time, make memories with friends and family but most importantly to make it back home safe. I've spent my time on the water fishing, instructing students, researching sharks and working the boats. No two days were the same and there are always surprises. The ocean is my passion and I enjoy sharing it with everyone. As a Scuba Instructor with Naui and SDI/TDI with 20+yrs of experience I can teach from your basic scuba diver class to advanced Technical Diving. So what are you waiting for??? Ben is a Virginia Beach navtive, who has fished the Chesapeake Bay and the coast for all his life. He is the whispere of Red fish. Ben is part of the Maritime Consortium that meets all USCG regulations. This ensures your crew members are qualified to engage in any safety sensitive duties, which ensures your safety on the water. At Kraken Charters, safety is our number one concern.....

Mate Andrew

Andrew grew up in Gloucester, Va. He has spent most of his days fishing the waters of the Chesapeake bay. Andrew was also stationed in Hawaii where he mated on a boat in his off time.
