TDI Intro to Tech in Virginia Beach
The TDI Intro to Tech Course is an introductory course that expands on recreational training by further developing dive planning procedures and in-water skills. This course is also designed to introduce new techniques for equipment streamlining and gear configurations for those interested in trying a technical set up without the financial commitment that other courses require. If you are already a certified technical diver the Intro to Tech course can serve as a refresher to get re-acclimated with the concepts and skills necessary to execute technical dives.
By course end you should be able to:
- In-depth dive planning, advanced buoyancy control, gas management, situational awareness, proper trim, gear configuration and selection
- Executing proper gear selection and preparation as well as buddy gas matching
- Familiarity with the S.T.A.R.T drill, finning techniques, body positioning, and diver skills
- Overall demonstration of mature, sound judgment concerning dive planning and execution
Our Prerequisites:
- Minimum age of 18
- Nitrox diver certification from any recognized training agency
- Proof of 30 logged dives or more
- Experience diving from a boat in the ocean
Base Price: $550 Book Now
Pricing includes a base amount that covers the e-learning materials, certification fees, and instruction. Additional expenses include travel, accommodations, boat fees, rental gear, and required personal gear (this varies depending on course type). All classes are non-refundable and it is the students responsibility to stay in touch with instructor. No guarantee to pass, remedial training may be required. All prices are for cash add 4% for CC purchases. It is up to you to make it class and be an active participant. There is no guarantee you will pass the class but we will do everything possible to get you diving. We will not just sign off though, we want you to be a safe and confident diver. If needed, additional sessions are $175 per session plus quarry/pool fees.
