Virginia Beach Scuba Diving Classes

 Open Water scuba diver course is an introductory course that is designed to teach you the fundamentals about diving and dive safety. In this course you will learn how to assemble and care for gear, as well as how to safely conduct open water dives up to 60 ft.

Nitrox Diver course is designed to teach you how to safely extend your bottom time using nitrox. This course focuses on what nitrox is, how to analyze the mixture and it's effects on your physiology. It also discusses maximum operating depths and partial pressures of oxygen, as well as procedures for using various nitrox blends. Upon completion of this course you will earn your  Nitrox diver certification which will allow you to use nitrox blends up to 40% to extend your bottom time. 

 Has it been more than a year since your last dive? Choose a Rusty Diver Check-out Dive and an Instructor or Divemaster will cover the basics and get you ready for your next diving adventure.

The class is 3-hours and includes a dive with one of our instructors in our training quarry. Required to have your own gear. Rental equipment available for additional charge.

Advanced Scuba Diver will certify you to 130fsw while making you a safer more competent diver. During the course your Instructor will take you through six Specialties for this area (ie.- deep, navigation, low viz, boat & wreck). Advanced Scuba Diver certification you will have increased abilities and comfort in the water and be ready for the next step, Rescue Diver. 

 Rescue Diver course is designed to develop the knowledge and necessary skills to effectively perform diver rescues and assist and administer the necessary first aid in the event of an emergency. You will learn skills such as how to perform self rescues, buddy rescues, recognize and calm potential panic divers, administer proper first aid to divers that have experienced dive related injuries, conduct effective search patterns and manage accident scenes. 

 Master Scuba Diver Program is your pathway to becoming a true master of scuba diving.  This journey not only broadens your diving knowledge but also enhances your underwater skills, safety awareness, and adaptability in diverse environments. With the completion of 50 logged dives, you gain unparalleled experience, preparing you for almost any diving situation. This comprehensive approach ensures you emerge as a confident & skilled diver, ready to tackle adventures that lie in the depths below. 

Divers often have a need, or want, to effectively communicate underwater. The SDI Full Face Mask Course is the perfect starting point. Full face mask diving allows the diver to relax and enjoy diving while not worrying about maintaining the second stage regulator. In addition, the full face mask will help insulate the diver from a coldwater environment.

Dry Suit Diver Course will open up a whole new world of diving to you. Many of the diving environments around the world are better experienced in a dry suit. Why? These areas have an abundance of marine life waiting to be seen and photographed – they just happen to be a little colder! This course allows the student to develop the knowledge and skills to properly use a dry suit. It will discuss the types of dry suits, accessories, maintenance and how to make basic repairs.
